Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad

The story is an exploration of what people consider the barbarian society, as opposed to the civilized society. It also gives us a view of the attitudes towards colonialism and imperialism that were a part of European imperialism. This book narrates the story of Charles Marlow’s life. He is an ivory transporter down the Congo River in Central Africa. The book tells us about his travels around Central Africa and the harsh realities of the natives.
